New House in CS

The boys sent us a picture of our new house back home--being framed this week. We are so torn between the excitement of the house and our trip to Washington! I think for now, we've decided to just focus on Washington and return to be surprised to our house being finished in Dec.

We go to the Grand Canyon on Monday, and should be in Pullman, WA by Thursday to pick up the keys to our new apt.! Had big thunderstorms yesterday here in Colo, visiting with friends over the weekend, and just loving the beautiful weather and scenery that God is blessing us with.

Life at the Cabin

Every morning we wake up to cooler temperatures (sorry, Texans) and even had a fire in the fireplace yesterday. Jeannie & Charlie, Hayley and Ty Tuttle --cousins--are here with us for a few days. Going to Taos tomorrow to eat at Michael's Kitchen and buy some hand-made paper for painting. I'm going to try to attach what I've been working on. Loren and I can't decide if we are supposed to be thinking about Washington, our slab getting poured back home, or whether or not to go trout fishing. What a life!

Went through Lubbock. Tried to call Uncle Boyd...no luck, so we are headed to cabin tonight. Will dine on Chilie rellanos in Santa Fe at Maria's. Hope to be at cabin by 9 PM.

Day 1

Ok, here we go...

Leaving College Station, going to spend the nt. in Menard and visit Poppo. Got to give him lots of hugs to last 6 months. We're leaving Annie, our 9 yr. old black lab, with Ben and Ashley. We are leaving our suburban in the hay barn at the ranch in Menard and just driving the Camry on to Washington. We've said our goodbyes and had a great send-off breakfast at the Groves!

The Trip (Skowbattical) begins tomorrow!

After months of planning, our sabbatical begins tomorrow! We sold our house, building a new one, and head out of state for 6 months. Our life is definitely out of control...but having fun! Stay tuned....
